In 2009 James Last celebrated his 80th birthday giving concerts all over Germany. On April 16th, 2011 the composer and conductor Last will return to O2 World to delight his audience.
The 81-year-old is one of the most successful musicians in history. Until today he was awarded 17 platin and 206 gold record awards for his albums. Throughout the Seventies and Eighties he was so successful, that, at times, he was responsible for more than 30% of his label\'s record sales in Germany.
Last, who was born in Bremen, Germany still influences the current music generation. In 2003 his song "Der Einsame Hirte" appears in the Tarantino movie "Kill Bill" including a rap of Wu Tang Clan member RZA.
