Adoro live with orchestra and band at O2 World

The pop opera quintet Adoro is set to perform at O2 World Berlin on 4 March 2012. For the first time ever, the five singers will be presenting songs from their new album due in November, but also a well-picked selection of their greatest hits up to date.

The group have taken their band name literally – Adoro, which is Latin for "I adore”, perfectly describes the abandon the five members Peter Dasch (bass-baritone), Nico Müller (baritone), Jandy Christian Ganguly (baritone), Assaf Kacholi (tenor) and Laszlo Maleczky (tenor) have for their music. Adoro are dedicated to the reinterpretation of modern German pop music, ranging from Nena to Rosenstolz to Unheilig, and provide it with a new, classical livery. With 1 million sold copies their previous three studio albums "Adoro”, "Für immer und dich” and "Glück” have attained platinum and gold status, making the charismatic quintet one of the most successful projects of modern classical music. On their last album, the singers have even ventured on a selection of English songs, including David Bowie’s legendary "Heroes”.

Adoro are the perfect proof that merging German pop music and classical music makes for a unique and fascinating enjoyment. In addition, the group will be supported by an orchestra and a live band during their shows, providing an ideal setting for a truly intriguing evening.
