Deep Purple live at O₂ World Berlin

They are hardrock music legends and one of the most inspiring bands of music history – Deep Purple. In 2012, they are back on tour and are to provide for an unforgettable concert night at O₂ World Berlin on 27 November 2012.

Founded in 1968 in Hertford, England, Deep Purple was destined to become one of the very first hardrock bands in the early 1970s. The feature that distinguished them most clearly from their fellow musicians such as Led Zeppelin was the Hammond organ, which would soon become a crucial part of Deep Purple’s sound. Coupled with their exceptional feel for catchy riffs, the recipe for worldwide hits such as !Smoke on the Water" and "Highway Star" was created.

Varying lineups within the band can be considered just as characteristic, but have never harmed the success of the quintet that currently consists of Ian Gillan (vocals), Steve Morse (guitar), Don Airey (keyboard), roger Glover (bass) and Ian Paice (drums).

After 120 million sold records and legendary albums such as "Fireball" and "Machine Head", Deep Purple will celebrate their live comeback in 2012 with a brand new studio album.
